Insurance Verification

At Healix Infusion Care, we understand that navigating insurance coverage and costs can be an added stress on top of managing your health. That’s why we have an experienced team of reimbursement specialists who will complete a thorough pre-certification and benefits verification process before you begin therapy. This process ensures that your infusion services are covered under your health plan and that you have clarity on any out-of-pocket costs.

We believe in providing our patients with complete transparency throughout their treatment journey, which includes upfront pricing with no hidden costs. We understand that unexpected medical bills can be a burden, and we strive to make the financial aspect of your care as straightforward as possible.

Should you have any questions or concerns about your benefits, our team is here to guide you through the process and discuss options for copay assistance programs, should you qualify.

Personalized Care

While your insurance is being verified, our clinical care team will contact you to conduct an initial assessment. Once insurance authorization has been obtained, your dedicated infusion care team will schedule your first visit for treatment.

We believe in providing personalized care to each of our patients, and part of that care includes taking the time to ensure that your insurance coverage and billing processes are as seamless as possible. You can trust in the team at Healix Infusion Care to support you every step of the way.

If you’re about to start infusion therapy for a chronic or complex condition, you’ll want to know what to expect. Here’s some information on how to get started with infusion care.

Your first appointment

Your first appointment will likely be with an infusion nurse or nurse practitioner who will review your medical history and ask questions about your condition. They’ll also ask about any medications you’re taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. This information will help them create a treatment plan specifically for you.

Preparing for your infusion

Before your first infusion, your infusion care team will give you specific instructions on how to prepare. In most cases, you’ll need to avoid eating anything for a few hours before the infusion begins. You may also need to stop taking certain medications beforehand.

What to expect during treatment

Most infusions last from 30 minutes to several hours, depending on the type of medication being administered and your individual response.

You may experience some side effects from the infusion medication, such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, or headache. If this happens, tell your infusion care team immediately.

After treatment is complete

Once your infusion is finished, you may be able to return home right away. However, in some cases, you may need to stay in the infusion care center for a short time for observation. Your infusion care team will give you specific instructions depending on your situation.

Be sure to follow all of the post-treatment instructions carefully so that you can recover quickly and safely. If you have any questions or concerns after leaving the clinic or hospital, don’t hesitate to call the infusion center or your doctor.
